![]() The Ready Set Gorgeous Powder Foundation ( $7.99) is great as a foundation or as a setting powder. ![]() Plus I have no problem layering this without looking cakey and only the smallest dab was necessary for the under eye area. I found that it’s very easy to build the coverage where I need to – to cover blemishes or undereye circles. Again, this has a powdery texture that is unlike anything I’ve ever used – it almost feels like it should just slip right off, but it stays put beautifully.īottom: 105-110 (cool), top: 115-120 (warm) The Ready Set Gorgeous Concealer ( $7.99) is a similar consistency as the foundation, perhaps slightly more pigmented. This is great if you have extreme problem skin because this completely covers redness and helps hide acne scars and the built-in powder system is supposed to pull oil and sweat away from your face, which should help lessen breakouts. The texture is a thick cream that feels powdery to the touch and that blends to the exact amount of coverage you need with little effort. The COVERGIRL Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation ( $7.99) gives medium coverage that can be layered or sheered out, depending on your needs. It seems like COVERGIRL is marketing these products towards teenagers, but as an adult in my mid-30’s who still has troubled skin, these products were miracle workers. The formulations won’t clog pores, which is perfect for those of us *blessed* with acne. The line consists of a liquid foundation, pressed powder foundation and a concealer that work together to help you put your best face forward.Īll products in this line are oil-free and contain oil-absorbing powders to help control shine. Oily girls rejoice, the latest from COVERGIRL is the answer to your prayers! The COVERGIRL Ready, Set Gorgeous collection is designed for those of us with oily skin who want our makeup to stay fresh and flawless all day. Let me know in the comments below. This post may contain affiliate links, which means I may receive a small commission, at no cost to you, if you make a purchase. Either way, you should be seeing them shortly. I may split it up and do the foundation in one review and the powder and concealer in the second review. I’ll have a review of the CoverGirl Ready Set Gorgeous line coming soon. I am interested in the Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream, though BB Creams are not my favorite thing. I hope that you saw something that interested you. However, I am sure Miss Manga will be very popular with the younger crowd. I am all for big crazy lashes, but I am surprised that L’Oreal (who is usually so classy) introduced this loud, juvenile, and gimmicky packaging. L’Oreal claims that the 360 degree “Flexor” brush provides amplified and maximized “Manga” lashes with over-sized volume. This is inspired by Japanese anime characters and their long, thick, spiky lashes. But, if you have fine lines or wrinkles, or even a dullness to you skin, the Ready, Set, Gorgeous Powder isn’t the best drugstore option in my opinion.Ī surprising addition to L’Oreal’s lineup is the new Miss Manga Mascara. If you have smooth, youthful skin, you can probably get away with it, especially with the use of a setting spray. ![]() I feel like it can easily look cakey and gives that visible powdery look that is not flattering. I am not the biggest fan of the Ready, Set, Gorgeous Powder to be honest. That’s why I don’t recommend using the sponge that comes in the compact because it applies way too heavily. I find that you have to be really careful with application, though, because it is easy to apply too much. The Ready, Set, Gorgeous Powder is a thick mattifying powder. I really don’t recommend using the sponge, anyway. The powder does come with a small sponge that fits into the empty space, but my sister had already used it, so I didn’t want to take a picture of it. It may look like there isn’t a whole lot of product in there, but it is 10.5 g, which is comparable to other brands. The oval compact has a pretty good mirror, but overall, I think the packaging is pretty ugly and cheap-looking. CoverGirl Ready, Set, Gorgeous Pressed Powder is actually a Powder Foundation.
